Further proof that we cut the wedding cake.

This 'proof' as you call it leaves me suspicious. 'Cake' doesn't even sound like a real word.

"Cake" is actually the combination of the Latin word "kaye" meaning bread the French word "kean," which later became "cane" which means sugar. So, "cake" means "sugared bread." Or, I dunno, not that.
